Term: City Treasurer is designated by statute
*Art Alfaro was appointed City Treasurer for the City of Austin in December 2005. Mr. Alfaro has over 20 years of public service with the City of Austin, with 13 of those years concentrated in managing the City’s $4.5 billion debt management program.

Philip E. Jack, Vice – Chair
Term: January 1, 2006 - December 31, 2008
*Phil Jack was elected to his third 3 year term on the pension board in January 2006. Mr. Jack is a Division Chief and has served over 33 years in the Austin Fire Department. He previously served on the pension board for 6 years having completed his second 3 year term in December 2003. Mr. Jack was recently elected as Vice-Chair on the pension board.

Randy L. Aylieff, Trustee
Term: January 1, 2008 – December 31, 2010
*Randy Aylieff who has served on the pension board for over 12 years, was first elected to the pension board in 1996 and is currently serving his fifth 3 year term. Mr. Aylieff served in the Austin Fire Department over 30 years before retiring in 2003 at the rank of Captain. He currently serves as the first retiree elected to the pension board.

Michael J. Sullivan, Trustee
Term: January 1, 2007 – December 31, 2009
*Mike Sullivan was recently re-elected to a 3 year term on the pension board in January 2007, following his previous 3 year term which expired in December 2006. Mr. Sullivan is a Lieutenant and has served over 34 years in the Austin Fire Department. He has served over 11 years on the pension board having originally been elected to fill the unexpired term of a former trustee in July 1989 and completing a succession of 3 year terms in December 1996.
